Our History

A Message from Dr. Lee:
In 1999, after ten years of founding and pastoring Faith Chapel of Syracuse, New York, we were getting ready to move into our new building and I feared we would become "settlers" and just "do church" without a driving vision and purpose. As a result, I sought God for a vision for the next 25 years. After a time of prayer, fasting, and seeking God's direction, He spoke to me with the most incomprehensible, unimaginable, and impossible vision; God told me to reach one million souls for Christ. After prayer and meditation, the vision developed into the following mission statement: My mission is to make and multiply disciples to reach one million souls for Christ worldwide

For the next ten years, as I continued to pastor Faith Chapel, the mission became the driving force in my life and our churches' life. Over that decade, our church made some amazing transitions:

  • We began a school called Living Faith School of Ministry (LFSOM) to train workers for worldwide harvest
  • We began to plant churches in our area
  • We began to send short and long term missionaries as well as we became an agency to send and provide oversight for our missionaries
  • Many doors opened up for me in international ministry and I ministered in over a dozen nations, including a church planting ministry in South Korea
  • Additionally I began to (and continue to) serve as an academic dean of a graduate school in Ukraine. During this time, I also earned a Doctor of Ministry degree through Regent University

Without knowing it, I was spending more and more time away from pastoring the local church and spending most of my time training, sending, and mentoring ministry workers, as well as in personal overseas ministry. I came to the realization that I could not be a good pastor of Faith Chapel and oversee all of the new ministries opportunities. Consequently, in January of 2009, I gave the leadership of Faith Chapel over to my co-pastor Jim Tuttle and birthed a new ministry, Living Faith Global Ministries (LFGM), to oversee all of the work I had been doing and expand the work to help fulfill the vision God had given me ten years earlier.

My role has changed, but the mission has not. Now, the million soul vision is the mission of LFGM, whose mission statement is: the training, sending, ordaining, and mentoring of workers for the harvest to reach and disciple one million souls for Christ worldwide.

Living Faith School of Ministry is an integral part of this mission. For students who make the commitment to complete their training with LFSOM, a lifelong partnership is formed with LFGM and our resources will be at your disposal to help launch you into your God-given mission for life.
